Ranjeet Kapoor describes his two daughters (Seema and Sunita) to one of his friend in office. Their daughter’s decorated home to celebrate their parent’s first meet. Sunita went to meet Anand who was engaged in rehearsing his one of his poetry, Sunita listens and appreciates his art. Businessman Yashraj Bhatia meets Col. Kapoor for a tender and tells him that his father was good friend of Col. Kapoor and he invites Yashraj to his home. Colonel introduces his daughters to Yashraj. Seema and Sunita’s mother is of strict nature and forced her will by asking Sunita to marry an army officer from her father’s regiment. Seema calls the officer to cancel her sister’s marriage by making funny stories of Sunita’s relationships.Sunita likes Anand and meet him and invites him at her home but her mother taunts Anand and Sunita which made him to leave. Her mother again taunts Sunita and Seema at dining table and told Col. Kapoor about their mischief with an Army Officer. Yashraj in intention to grab the tender, invites Col. Kapoor’s family for his birthday party.Sunita apologize to Anand for her mother’s behavior and not coming to meet him. Yashraj’s brother is disappointed in Yashraj as he came to know that Yash’s only aim and vision is to make money. Yash’s brother asks Yash with regard to his marriage with Sunita which Yash accepts offer. Yash’s family visits Colonel’s family for the proposal of Yash and Sunita’s marriage. Col. Kapoor tries to convince Sunita to accept the marriage proposal. Sunita inform Anand about her marriage.Sunita dies, Col. Kapoor remorseful discuss about it with Sunita’s friend Anita who returned from England. Sunita’s mother’s condition gets deteriorating memorizing her deceased daughter. Col. Kapoor’s friend who is also doctor, suggests to marriage of their younger daughter to revive the happiness in the family. Seema is depressed and broken, Anita confronts Seema’s mother and tries to console her.Anita promises Col. Kapoor that she will revive the happiness of their family and accepts the family as her own. Col. Kapoor gives Sunita’s diary to Anita, titled Safar. Anita meets Anand, joyfully told him that she got a lovely family and she is happy with being part of Kapoor’s family.Yash’s family likes Anita and proposes Yash’s marriage to Col. Kapoor. Col. Kapoor accepts the proposal. Both families plan to arrange a meet for Yash and Anita. Yash comes to meet Anita at a restaurant.Yash calls Col. Kapoor but Anita picks up the call, Yash asks Anita to meet. Preparation and ceremonies happens for Anita and Yash marriag Anita and Yash ties knot and Anita comes at Yash’s home. Yash’s family welcomes Anita.Yash is very punctual about time and is very annoyed when his client gets delayed. Yash being workaholic, makes his family worried about his newly married life. Yash rejects the trip with Anita siting his meetings and pending work which made Anita sad.
